Artist Statement

 

Clay is a remarkable medium that constantly challenges my creativity, pushes my boundaries, and urges me to grow as an artist. 

Inspired by nature, my art represents the ever changing life and surroundings. Clay allows me to create forms that convey movement, energy, and direction. 

I believe that art is an open conversation between the artist and the viewer. The complexity of my artwork allows the viewer to interpret and display them in numerous ways sharing the art experience with me. 

I strive for clean organic shapes, using a combination of wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. I use porcelain and mid-fire stoneware.
